A National Picture Resources

First Nations and Métis Peoples' Experiences of Cancer

The Universities of Ottawa, Saskatchewan, and New Brunswick, and the Saint Elizabeth First Nations, Inuit and Métis Program collaborated to explore experiences of cancer. Funding for this project was provided by a Quality of Life Grant of the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Edna Goebel (Grant # 701822). The goal of the project was to gather and disseminate knowledge of cancer from the perspectives of First Nations and Métis peoples in diverse Canadian communities to establish a strong foundation for culturally responsive programs.
